Two La Jolla projects slowed by federal funding cuts

Two street projects with ties to Enhance La Jolla have experienced setbacks recently due to cuts in federal funding. 

Both the Village streetscape project and a plan for a decorative midblock crossing on Fay Avenue won’t be getting funding that had been earmarked for those efforts. 

The project to upgrade the Village streetscape is an ongoing partnership of Enhance La Jolla and the La Jolla Community Foundation. Enhance La Jolla is a nonprofit that manages the Village Maintenance Assessment District and has authority to carry out projects throughout La Jolla.
