La Jolla’s Village Streetscape awarded $850,000

The Village Streetscape project, spearheaded by the La Jolla Community Foundation to overhaul and improve Girard Avenue from Prospect to Silverado streets, has been awarded $850,000 in federal funding through the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations process, led by US Rep Scott Peters (D-La Jolla).
The Streetscape plans have been in motion for years, with funding for Phase 1 already secured; this new funding will be applied to Phase 2 construction in coordination with the city of San Diego.
